In order to study in Australia a Student Visa must be obtained. This visa enables young people to experience an Australian Education.

In order to qualify applicants must be able to satify several basic visa requirments. Specific visa requirements are assessed according to your assessment level. The assessment level is determined by your country of passport and the visa subclass* applied for.

There are five different assessment levels, level 1 being the lowest and 5 the highest. If an applicant falls into a higher level they have to provide more evidence that they meet all the relevant criteria.

The following factors are taken into account when processing a Student Visa application:

  • Financial Capacity

  • English Language

  • Evidence of prior studies

  • Statement of Intentions. It is imperative that the applicant studies a registered course, full-time.

  • Visa assessment factors, including academic record and history, your health, character and situation in home country.

Please Note: The successful student may apply for limited work rights on arrival in  Australia. If the student has a spouse accompanying him/her the spouse may be included for a work visa, if required. Applicants for student visas who wish to subsequently apply for permanent residency must complete a minimum of two years (full-time) study in an appropriate course. The student is permitted to remain in Australia while the application is being processed.
